| abstract | This thesis is dedicated to the impact of human resources in projects, as it applies to construction companies. Human resource management mission is to bring people into the organization and helping them perform their work. The function of Human Resource Management that is being further analyzed in this thesis is staffing. Staffing is composed of recruiting and selection of staff. Firstly, construction companies gather the possible candidates with suitable methods, being analyzed in this research. Then, by using relative selection processes they conclude to the hiring of the new employees.
Afterwards, the effect of use of unqualified and inexperienced staff in construction projects is investigated in the current thesis. The abovementioned derived there from impacts on companies and on the projects themselves were the major reason for the author’s research, review and proposal of appropriate selection methods for staff. Finally, recommendations for further research in this area of study are mentioned at the end of this thesis. |
